Swim Course:
Starting on
the beach at Spring Point Head Light, athletes will do a
counterclockwise triangular swim in a protected ocean cove
that finishes on the very same beach, just steps from
transition! Average water temperature in early August is 62
degrees.

Map Course:

An out and back course with a turnaround
point half – way through.
1. Exit transition area towards Fort Road.
2. Continue straight at the intersection of Benjamin W.
Pickett towards Preble Street.
3. Turn left onto Preble Street. At stop sign, stay left to
continue on Preble Street.
4. Turn right onto Woodbury Street
5. Turn right onto Cottage Road, and then take a quick left
onto Woodland Road.
6. Turn right onto Mitchell Road, and then left onto Sawyer
Street.
7. Continue following Sawyer Street. Cross Ocean Avenue;
Sawyer Street turns into Sawyer Road.
8. Turn right onto Stillman Road
9. Turn left onto Highland Avenue
10. Turn left onto Old Farm Road, then left onto Barnstable
Road to circle around and retrace route back to SMCC/transition
area.
11. Turn right onto Highland Avenue
12. Turn right onto Stillman Road
13. Turn left onto Sawyer Road
14. Continue following Sawyer Road. Cross Ocean Avenue;
Sawyer Road turns into Sawyer Street.
15. At stop sign turn right onto Mitchell Road
16. Turn left onto Woodland Road
17. Turn right onto Cottage Road, and left onto Woodbury
Street.
18. Turn left onto Preble Street. At stop sign, stay right
to continue on Preble Street.
19. Turn right onto Fort Road. At stop sign, continue
straight on Fort Road.
20. Follow Fort Road back to transition area.
Run Course:

-Leave transition and follow signs to Adams Street.
-Follow Adams Street to Benjamin W. Pickett Street and turn
right (stay on sidewalk).
-Cross Broadway to Madison Street.
-Follow Madison Street to Bug Light Park.
-Follow signs to the trail around the perimeter of Bug Light
Park.
-Turn right back to Madison Street.
-Follow signs onto Greenbelt Trail.
-Follow trail to Preble Street Ext. and turn left.
-Cross Broadway and continue on the left side of Preble
Street.
-Take left onto Beach Street.
-Follow Beach Street to Spring Point Shoreway Trail and turn
left onto trail.
-Follow signs to Bunker Lane.
-Follow Bunker Lane to Fort Road.
-Take a right and head to finish.
TOTAL Distance – 3.0 Miles
