One of the key components to the
success of Tri for a Cure, other than our athletes crossing
the finish line, is fundraising! This event has the
potential to be one of the biggest fundraisers for the Maine
Cancer Foundation, funding cancer research and patient
support in Maine. There are several ways that you as an
athlete, spectator, friend or supporter will be able to help
with the fundraising effort:
- Registration: Upon registering,
each athlete will get her own fundraising page you can
personalize with your own pictures. This page is loaded
with opportunities for the athlete to reach out to
friends, family and supporters for donations. Your
friends will be amazed at your strength and
determination! The people on your chosen email list will
be able to donate online and pay on their credit card.
Any donation can be made in honor or in memory of a
friend or loved one and the tribute will scroll on your
donation page. The funds will automatically transfer to
your fundraising total.
- Printed donation form: You can
print a pledge form and collect donations from your
friends and family.

There will be prizes awarded based
on fundraising amounts:
- $100 Tri for a Cure mesh
shopping bag
- $300 Tri for a Cure Headsweats
visor and Tri for a cure shopping bag
- $600 Tri for a Cure Microfleece
and Tri for a Cure shopping bag
- $1,200 FREE entry into the 2009

Athletes will receive their prize(s)
at check in if all funds are turned in by July 15th!
Donations turned in after the 15th may require prizes to be
shipped.
