Injury Prevention & Improved Performance
At every age we need to help our muscles maintain their integrity. We do this not only through strength training & exercise, but also with other methods such as rolling. In fact, the two work together to help our bodies prevent injury to muscles and bones and help to increase our body’s performance. In this session, OA trainer Adam Tielinen will discuss:
Athletes in attendance will also have the opportunity to practice the exercises.

Adam Tielinen, BS, CSCS, Performance Coach
Adam received his BS in Kinesiology and Physical Education from the University of Maine, Orono in 2001. Adam has worked closely with various athletes of all different sports and levels including Maine Coast United (MCU) Soccer and Maine Select Hockey teams. He was a guest speaker for the Maine Chapter of the Professional Golfers’ Association on golf conditioning and program design. He has also assisted in United States Tennis Association (USTA) sanctioned events where he performed strength and speed tests for high school tennis players across the state. Adam has also worked with several tri-athletes on areas such as strength training, program design, nutrition, and injury prevention. His passion for athletics is shown through his knowledge and enthusiasm in the strength and conditioning field. Adam is a member and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Directions to the Saco Office: From Southern Maine: Drive North on Gold Star Memorial Hwy/I-95N/Maine Turnpike (partial toll road). Take Exit 36 to merge onto I-195E toward Saco/Old Orchard Beach. Take Exit 1 for Industrial Park Road. Turn left onto Industrial Park Road and right onto ME-112/North Street; go approximately 0.3 miles and turn right onto Lund Road. From Northern Maine: Drive South on I-295; continue toward I-295 South and merge onto I-95-S, (partial toll road). Take Exit 36 to merge onto I-195E toward Saco/Old Orchard Beach.
